Emergency First Aid at Work ( An HSE Approved training course)

Can you save a life?
 This is a one day course that is suitable for organisations where there must be first aid  cover  to satisfy the needs of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It is also suitable for people who wish to gain an understanding of First Aid Emergency procedures. There is no exam and a certificate of attendance will be presented to each student.

Course Content
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be confident in the following subjects :

• Update and maintenance of a first aid box
• Rules and Regulations
• Resuscitation skills
• Treatment of unconscious casualties and recovery position
• Heart attack - CPR and life support
• Choking and airway management
• Shock
• Communication and delegation in an emergency
• Control of bleeding

A general overview of the following topics is also given:

• Burns and scalds
• Injuries to bones, muscle and joints
